On Avery

As you can see he is looking SO MUCH better. Although he had a rough couple of nights as he is having lots of insomnia, poor kid is so exhausted and so am I. I swear they have given this kid enough drugs to knock out a horse to no avail. They even gave him IV ativan which he usually does great with and his only slept for an hr. UGH. No idea what is going on with that but if this is our bad than I am okay with it, especially compared to where we have been lately.

The immunologist came by today. He no longer has the HiB vaccine (which is why he got the H influenza) and the pneumoccal in his system so he will need to get those again. They were also concerned about his IGg levels and that he has been so sick lately and think he is a good candidate for the IVIG infusions. So he will be on yet another antibiotic for 3wks before getting revaccinated and then they will check his titers then we will start the infusions. Great thing is it can be done at home so I don't have to go inpatient for in the hospital to have this done regulary. Sounds good to me.

So the hope is that we can start boosting him up and keep him at home as much as possible. We have literally been in and out of this place for months and we REALLY REALLY need a break from it. So I am going to do everything in my power to help keep this boy healthy. I am hoping to be home by thurs or friday so I can enjoy the weekend and maybe have a little birthday celebration for Zay and enjoy one of janessa's softball games. Let's see if Avery will behave!!!!
