He does infact have a line infection and it is not a good one. He is growing yeast and it is in his bloodstream as well. This is NOT good. He will be going to surgery at some point today to have the line pulled and we will have to wait a few days for negative cultures to put a new one in. They are already having great difficulty just getting an IV in him which he will need over then next few days. If they are unsuccessful with that then they will put in a femoral line which is not the best option b/c of the yeast but they have to pump him with antibiotics to get a hold of this infection. Please pray that he is able to clear this and they are able to successfully place a new line in him.
