Finding that Balance

That's is what we are trying to do....

We followed all the recommendations the Pulm dr. gave us and they were great, but I'm not sure Avery thought the same
Let's just say that small changes go a long way.  Avery does not do well at all with lots of changes.  This photos was taken at 3 in the afternoon which is highly unusual for him to be sleep.  Although he does look so so cute.  It was just too many changes at once. While the diuretics were a great choice, the dose was much too high for him as well as the sudafed 3 times a day. He became so dry that he was developing mucous plugs (thus the balance). However, he has never sounded clearer which is a godsend. By the end of the week he was able to thoroughly enjoy the kindergarten Halloween parade.
My lil gnome :)

We have a follow up appt. with her on frid. so we should be able to iron out most things then.
I don"t want to get my hopes up.  I am hoping and praying that this works for awhile. while he still has bad days b/c of pain and other issues, thankfully he doesn't sound like he is drowning on a regular basis.  He sounds so much better.  We have not even had to suction him in a week which is highly unusual.

Along the celebrating lines, I was just getting ready to celebrate that Mr. Isaiah has not retched in two week.  Well no sooner did I get the words out of my mouth he had the worst Sunday episode ever :(  My poor handsome man is just having a lot of issues with his stomach and he just does not seem happy at school.  I have no idea what is going on with him, sure wish I knew but it breaks my heart.

Janessa is enjoying school dances, Halloween custom parties and just being a tween, UGH!!!! She is a good girl though.

I have still been experiencing some intermittent pain in my right kidney. So much so that I had an ultrasound and a urine culture on Monday.  The culture was normal but the ultrasound showed a 1.5 cm fluid filled pocket in my right kidney.  It may very well be the remnants of the infection, but I am still paranoid of getting that sick again. We still have no idea of how I got and so therefore no idea how to prevent it.  Unless I develop fever or chills I am ok.  I'm just so afraid of feeling that way again.

Otherwise we are enjoying be normal at home and hoping it stays that way for a bit this time ;)
