It's been awhile

It felt like a week since I last updated but I guess it has been a little longer. Since I
last post, Rick and I went to NY for the weekend and had a nice non stressful weekend (aside from the rush hr. drive from the airport). It was just really nice to get away and be able to have some time together without our daily stresses. Meanwhile, Avery struggled at home respiratory wise. Basically he has continued to do so. I'm pretty sure the he will end up inpatient over the weekend if he is not able to turn things around.

This has been a tough couple of months for us medically. Since starting school, Avery just can't catch a break. Over the past month he has been on 3 courses of very strong IV antibiotics and within a week off them he gets sick again. It's so frustrating. Isaiah has not been much better. He has been retching nonstop. He cycles every single Sunday without fail and at least one weekday. Still don't get his patterns at all but I know it's severly affecting his quality of life. And for me, I'm still not back to myself. By midday I have body aches and just feel so rundown. Although it's getting better each day. I have a couple of follow up appts. for myself this wk that I hope I am able to keep.

I guess this silver lining in the past week is Janessa. We are so proud of her. She is such a smart cookie. She was competing for Student Council this week and her speech was amazing. So great that she won for her class. Don't know what we would do without her. Also I forgot to mention she turned 11 on Oct. 5th, where does the time go?
