Things have been much of the same around here. Isaiah is still not himself. He is urinating better but he was cathed today and tons came out. After much calling we are finally getting in with a Urologist in the next two week. They are scheduling
Isaiah for some Urodynamic studies to test him for neurogenic bladder which seems pretty common in mito kids. He has certain points of the day that he will start retching and biting his hands even though he has urinated, so I am not sure if he is not emptying completly with could be dangerous. He also started with a congested cough again. This kid has literally been sick since the 8th of Dec. I just feel so bad for him.

I also got in touch with the TPN nurse and she has increased his TPN l earlto 18 hrs and higher calories to make up for the loss in j feeds. So hopefully he will start to gain some weight as it seems that his gut is alot worse than I thought so the timing of starting the TPN was good. It also seems like it will be a much slower process than we thought. He is also a complete wreck in terms of pain in the last afternoon until early evening. There is really nothing that touches his pain. So all this is just so exhausting and frustrating at the same time.

On the good side, Rick's basketball team is just doing amazing. They have beat every team that they have played by at least 25-30pts. I just love going to his games.
