It seems as though you guys have figured out the pattern here. When you have not seen an updated in a few days, it is usually safe to say that we are in the hospital. Thank you guys for all the good thoughts and prayers and really helps. We really appreciate it.
So I came home for some sleep and much needed break from the hospital while Rick was with Avery. Of course, it did not quite go down that way. Janessa's body decided to wait until after drs. closing hrs. on Sat to begin a raging ear infection. Poor kid, I have never ever seen her in that much pain. It was so heartbreaking. She screamed for a few hrs. in pain. After many pain meds, she finally fell asleep after midnight. Off the the drs. this morning with her and Isaiah who still has been retching on/off and just looks crappy in general. Ear infection was confirmed and the great abx given. So just started to relax at 6pm just in time for the Superbowl. Poor Rick is watching it at the hospital. I think he is more depressed about the lack of Superbowl spread than the 19 inc tv he has to watch it on.
As for Avery, he actually had a good weekend b/c of shear exhaustion he sleep a greater part of the weekend. Rick said he was smiling and seemed good. He is still very floppy but at least he got some much needed rest. They are weaning him from the diet which I still have my reservations about and am going in tomorrow to find out more about it. Rick and I have decided to not do anymore invasive procedures on him unless it is going to directly benefit him from our perspective. We are just really focused on the quality of his life at this point. I tell ya these drs. will test your kid to death if the let them and we are not doing that. We are taking control of his care to our liking at this point. He will be there probably until Wed. or thurs. This has been a really tough spell for our family but we are strong and no matter how many times we are kicked down, we will keep on getting up. We have alot of support thankfully.
Hopefully it is all uphill from here.
Love to all.
