Silly Boy

So as you all know I was very nervous for Avery's infusions. He started off the day not so good as he was vomitting loading him in the car. I'm thinking this is NOT going to be good. After a couple hrs. of waiting to get the drs. to sign orders, he begin his infusion. To my surprise, Avery did AWESOME. He looked nice and pink and fresh and they were able to advance his rate. The total infusion took 4.5 hrs. and he did great. We did not get home until after 6pm b/c we were battling traffic. I assumed he would be vomitting but nothing. Poor kid was soo exhausted he fell asleep right away but required O2 all night.

Me, Rick, Janessa and a friend of hers got to enjoy a day at canobie and it was great. I think I'm getting a bit old for those crazy rides as I thought I would pee my pants duing one of the rollercoastes, LOL. But it was fun.

I had to go home early to relieve my nurse and that's when things got crazy. Isaiah of course was a pooping machine and Avery was a complete wreck. He had fevers which were at the point that blood cultures would need to be drawn. He was so junky and lethargic and just looked very sick and flu-like.

So here we sit at the hospital of course. He continued to have fevers last night. but today he looks great. Immune drs. think it is too much of a delayed reaction to be from the infusion but if he was fine prior to the infusion and sick the next day and now fine. What do you think??? So the good news is we should be going home today. YAY!!!! He is due for another infusion in a few wks. so we will pretreat with tylenol and zyrtec and schedule it for during the week instead of a Friday. But the drs. said b/c the first dose is a big dose and kills alot of the bacteria in your system that it can be the toughest one. But we will see.

Just stinks that I had alot of plans this weekend but I am happy that we SHOULD be going home today.
